Category of Membership

Active members shall be those duly licensed physicians, members in good standing of their respective medical societies, or other individuals active in aviation or medically related industries, and interested in aviation medicine and safety, who are elected to membership.

Retired active members shall be those members who are retired from practice but wish to maintain affiliation with the Association. They shall pay reduced dues as established by the Board of Trustees, shall have Voice and Vote, but may not hold office.

Life members shall be those active members who elect to pay a lump sum specified by the Board of Trustees for lifetime dues.

Sustaining members shall be those active members who, with approval of the Board of Trustees, contribute an additional annual sum to support the activities of the association.

Honorary Life members shall be those individuals selected by the Board of Trustees and honored for their contribution to the Association, to aviation medicine or safety, or to humanity and shall have all the rights of active membership, but shall not be assessed dues.

Corporate members shall be those organizations who, with the approval of the Board of Trustees, contribute dues set by the Board to further the purpose and objectives of the association. Each corporate member shall be invited to name a non- voting representative to the Board of Trustees.

Applications for membership shall be submitted to the Executive Vice-President with payment for one year's dues. If all qualifications are met and dues paid, the Executive Vice-President shall cause the applicant to be enrolled as a member.

Annual Membership Fee: $100.00 U.S. Dollars

Fellowship shall be conferred on members in good standing who have been members for at least five years, who demonstrate a sustained interest and high degree of competence in civil aerospace medicine, and who have the endorsement of two CAMA Fellows who can attest to such and who personally recommend the candidate.
